      Conjunctions are words that connect two other words or phrases together, like 'and', 'or', and 'but'.

Las conjunciones son palabras que unen otras dos palabras o frases, como "y", "o" y "pero".

Take a look at these two sentences.

Fíjate en estas dos frases.

The car is blue.

El coche es azul.

The car is fast.

El coche es rápido.

We can combine, or put together, these two sentences with a conjunction!

Podemos combinar, o juntar, estas dos frases con una conjunción.

The car is blue and fast.

El coche es azul y rápido.

      And is a conjunction!

We can use conjunctions like and, or, and but to combine nouns, verbs, and adjectives.

Tip: and, or, but, and so are called coordinating conjunctions. You don't have to memorize that, though.

      Until tells you how long something takes.
