There are 4 types of sentences.

The fourth type of sentence is called an exclamation.

El cuarto tipo de frase se llama exclamación.

      An exclamation is a sentence that shows strong feelings or surprise.

Una exclamación es una frase que muestra sentimientos fuertes o sorpresa.

I finally beat the boss!

¡Por fin he vencido al jefe!

      Exclamations end with an exclamation point, !

¡Las exclamaciones terminan con un signo de exclamación, !

The exclamation point (!) shows that you're excited or have strong feelings.

El signo de exclamación muestra que estás emocionado o que tienes sentimientos fuertes.

We won the game!

¡Ganamos el partido!

A period is used when you're calm.

El punto se utiliza cuando se está tranquilo.

We ate pizza.

Comimos pizza.

You can see that without the exclamation point, the sentence does not show a strong feeling like excitement.

Puedes ver que sin el signo de exclamación, la frase no muestra un sentimiento fuerte como la emoción.
