      Sentences are complete thoughts with a subject and a predicate. 

Las oraciones son pensamientos completos con un sujeto y un predicado.

There are four types of sentences.

Hay cuatro tipos de oraciones en ingles.

Let's learn about one type of sentence, called a statement.

Conozcamos un tipo de frase, llamado declaraciones.

      Statements are sentences that tell you something and end with a period.

Los enunciados son frases que dicen algo y terminan con un punto.

Here's a statement:

Aquí hay una declaración:

My dad’s car is fast.

El coche de mi padre es rápido.

I have four dogs.

     ️ Statements say what is or describe things.

No. This is not a statement. This is a question!

No. Esto no es una declaración. ¡Es una pregunta!

You can see that it ends in a question mark instead of a period, and it's asking if you did something.

Puedes ver que termina en un signo de interrogación en lugar de un punto, y te pregunta si hiciste algo.
