The world is full of things with different sizes.

How can you describe the size of a giraffe to your friends? You can use length, width, and height.

¿Cómo puedes describir el tamaño de una jirafa a tus amigos? Puedes utilizar la longitud, la anchura y la altura.

      Length: how long or short it is.

Longitud: lo largo o corto que es.

      Height: how tall or short it is.

Altura: lo alto o bajo que es.

      Width: how wide or narrow it is.

Anchura: lo ancho o estrecho que es.

🤓 Some things have all 3 parts - length, width and height. Some things may have just 1 or 2.

We measure small things in inches or centimeters.

👉 cm is short for centimeters.

The pen above is 12 cm long.

A ruler helps us measure in inches (in) and centimeters (cm).

Tip: A key is about 2 inches long.

We measure bigger things in feet (ft) or meters (m) because it's easier.
